I started as a Spanish speaker, working in the grapes with my parents. During 1972 and until my high school years, I was a member of the AFL-CIO United Farm Workers Union. I marched with Cesar Chavez in Indio, California, alongside my parents. I learned English at the age of 7. Looking back at my life I always knew that someday I would help people because I feel a deep desire within me. When something like that drives you, even if the world says you can't, destiny will push you forward.
